About Matt
It has been more than ten years since the voters of the 54th District have had a meaningful choice. I plan to give them that choice.
-Matt Flamm
Matt Flamm has lived in Palatine since 1987. He is a business and real estate lawyer and is senior partner of Flamm, Teibloom & Stanko, Ltd., a Chicago law firm. He is a past Chair of the Real Estate Taxation Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and has served on the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the Chicago Council of Lawyers. Flamm graduated from Evanston Township High School, Northwestern University, and Georgetown University Law Center.
Education is a key issue in the campaign. Flamm’s two daughters both attended Palatine public schools and graduated from Palatine High School, and they received an education second to none. He believes that making sure our schools have the resources to continue to provide quality education is imperative to the prosperity of our local townships.
Flamm describes himself as a “centrist Democrat.” He believes government can help people in need and improve the quality of lives, but also recognizes the need to enhance our business climate.
Flamm has served as a volunteer in the campaigns of Congresswoman Melissa Bean (D-8th) and in the 2008 Presidential campaign of then-Senator Barack Obama.
Flamm’s wife, Betty, is President of the Palatine-Inverness Arts Council and past President of the Northwest Council of PTA/PTSA. They have two daughters: Rachel, 24, and Sarah, 21.
