He is a “go to” person in his practice fields, and is reported to be very knowledgeable with a very good temperament. He has substantial experience in a variety of litigation matters. The Council finds him Well Qualified for the Circuit Court."

The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) stated that its Judicial Evaluations Committee - Cook County "has found you Qualified for the office of judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County."
The Decalogue Society of Lawyers stated that "We have found you RECOMMENDED as a Judge of the Circuit Court."
The Women's Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI) found that Matt is "Recommended for the office of Judge of the Circuit Court. . . . 'Recommended' is the highest rating that the WBAI now gives."
The Cook County Bar Association has rated Matt "Recommended for Circuit Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County."
The Arab American Bar Association of Illinois rated Matt "RECOMENDED for the office of Circuit Court of Cook County."
The Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois has rated Matt "Recommended."
Matt has submitted his credentials to the Alliance of Bar Associations for Judicial Screening. The bar associations that are part of the Alliance will issue their ratings during February.
On January 19th, Matt was honored as "2020 Outstanding Democratic Organizer" by the Sixth Congressional District Democrats.
